  1. COM Port Management

    We would like to control and manage COM Ports (especially Virtual COM Ports, USB-Serial adapters) in the same way per whitelist rules equal to Drives or other devices like Smartphones, HID devices etc.

    In short, possibility of User and Computer combination.

    in 24.1 you will be able to create custom device classes - this way you can control com&lpt ports like any other device
    please note that the existing way to control com&lpt ports configures access permissions for the ports, but using a custom class blocks the device if it's not allowed

  2. AppControl WhileList rules

    New AppControl WhileList rules, created from Events (from DOC Event Report) should not only go
    hardcoded into the so called "Permanent unlock policy", but ist should
    be also possible to define another (existing) DriveLock Policy as a target for this rule.

  3. Permanently unlock devices directly from within the DOC

    With 2021.2 permanently unlocking single drives has become easier than ever before. It would be great to have the same capability for other devices like cameras, smartphones.
    Unlocking applications previously blocked by DriveLock application control has been added with 2022.1.

  4. NTFS Write support for DriveLock MEA (Mobile Encryption Application) without installation

    It should be possible to have read and write capabilities when using an NTFS file system in a DL container in combination with the MEA.
    Currently you need to install the MEA on a client to have write access. For a lot of people without admin rights, the installation of the MEA is not possible.
    Currently you need to use NTFS file system, when you want to us containers bigger than 4 GB, because FAT is only supporting 4 GB.
    And exFAT is currently not supported.
