Self Service
Hi,
when using Self Service for application control, we have communicated the following settings to our administrative users, when installing software.
1) Start Self-Service before starting the installation proccess
2) Disable Application Control during Unlock Period, Add Application launched... (checked), Executable files added to the local hash database: FIles written during unlock period (checked), Require user approval .... (checked)
3) Timespan and reason given
AppControl is now unlocked and the software will be installed
When ending the Self Service of AppControl, a list of files is displayed, where the files can be selected from, which have to be added to the Local Has database.
This list can be very long as there are not only the installed files included. All files, which Windows writes from system side during the unlock period are also included there.
In this list, there is no option to
a) resize the window itselt
b) filter the list according to path for example
c) select multiple succeeding entries with Control- or Shift Click
You are only able to check each list entry one by one, which makes working with this very time consuming.
I'd like to have the options a)-c) mentioned above added to the list of files, which are to be added to the local hash database.
